CLEANSERS
Pre treatment cleansing of the natural eyelashes is an absolutely critical element of the eyelash extension procedure. Failure to properly clean the natural lash will undoubtably result in a weaker bond with the extension likely to fall off within days.
Ideally the client will turn up with no eye make up on but even so the lashes must be cleaned to remove natural oils and proteins and make up residue. A lot of make up removers actually include glycol and oil in their ingredients and leaving these in place will not allow the adhesive to bond correctly.
Cleansing is a 2 part process using 2 different products.
STEP ONE
I-LASH SYSTEM 500
Use the i-lash system 500 professional cleanser to remove make up and oils. Apply with a cotton pad, cotton swab or Microbrush (Always use a Microbrush when cleansing for infills). The i-lash system 500 has been specifically developed for the eyelash extension procedure and is a safe and gentle formula which can also be retailed to clients. Supplied in 100ml bottles.

STEP TWO
I-LASH PROTEIN REMOVER
Use the i-lash protein remover as a final stage cleanse to remove residual natural oils and proteins. Apply with a Microbrush or cotton swab. Supplied in 5ml bottles.

When using the cleanser during the eyelash extension treatment do not redip any pad, swab or brush back into the bottle. Either use a new applicator or pour a small amount into a disposable container.
When using the protein remover do not use the brush in the bottle to apply the remover directly to the clients lashes. ALWAYS decant a small amount into a disposable container and use a Microbrush or cotton swab.
